DiMartino Associates is your Local’s contact for general information regarding Trust operations and benefits for both existing and prospective groups. They are also your contact for changes to your Local’s Plan contributions and benefits (such as increases in contribution levels, and sick leave conversion). Representatives from DiMartino Associates are available to meet with your membership or your Executive Board to provide education about the IAFF MERP or help strategize ahead of upcoming negotiations. They are also happy to provide a refresher course for members already participating in the MERP.

Trust Office
Vimly Benefit Solutions is a Third Party Administrator offering a full suite of trust fund administration services. Vimly has been with the IAFF MERP since its inception in 1999.
Vimly Benefit Solutions is the “Trust Office.” They handle all the day-to-day operations for the Trust and its participating Locals. Participating members can contact Vimly with questions regarding their IAFF MERP account. Vimly also administers the reimbursement of expenses for retirees and can assist members nearing retirement with benefit calculations and more.
Participating MERP employers can contact Vimly with questions about the monthly billing of contributions, updates to member contact information, or updates to Local union contracts or agreements that may impact contributions to the plan.

Trust Actuary
Cheiron specializes in actuarial services and stress testing of municipal and private sector pension funds, as well as employee health and welfare plans. The IAFF MERP Board of Trustees retains Cheiron to perform periodic valuation studies to analyze the impact on benefit levels of changes in investment returns, assumption rates, longevity, and contribution rates.
