The IAFF Medical Expense Reimbursement Plan (MERP) provides participating fire fighter union Locals around the country a benefit plan that helps retired fire fighters cover their health insurance premiums and medical expenses in retirement. This tax-sheltered investment plan was developed by fire fighters to meet their long-term healthcare needs.
