Jeff Lentz has been a dedicated member of the Dearborn Fire Fighters Association IAFF Local 412 since joining the Dearborn Fire Department in 2002. He currently serves as a Battalion Chief in fire suppression and has been a committed union leader, elected as Local Treasurer in 2011, Secretary in 2012, and President in 2013—a role he continues to hold. Jeff is also actively involved at the state level through the Michigan Professional Fire Fighters Union, contributing to several key committees including the Local Merger Committee, MERP/VEBA Retiree Healthcare Committee, Political Education Committee, and currently, the Union Education Committee.
